About Us

Wild Ginger is a refreshingly distinct fine dining experience located at the heart of Cool Springs-featuring an eclectic blend of Pan-Asian, South American, and Western cuisine in the Pacific Rim style-with succulent selections for all palates, including the popular miso seabass, braised short rib, and a wide array of signature maki and tapas.

Though restaurants categorized as “fusion” are mostly located in trendy metropolitan areas like Miami and Manhattan, Wild Ginger is the first and only of its kind in Middle Tennessee.

This family-owned and operated restaurant’s perpetually growing popularity and devoted regular clientele make it essential for us to not just continually reinvent our menu, but more importantly, the entire dining experience. Wild Ginger is the perfect destination for a business lunch, romantic evening, or relaxing dinner with family and friends.

Our Vision

What is Fusion?

Where East meets West, FUSION is a unique form of modern cuisine first popularized in the United States and Australia, but now infiltrating all regions of the world. FUSION cuisine incorporates distinct elements of various regions of the world. Wild Ginger offers FUSION in a Pacific Rim style, blending seasoning and cooking methods from various countries around the Pacific Rim with the rest of the world.

What's inside?

Wishing to grant guests a total dining experience, owners Andrew Siao and John Chen developed a one-of-a-kind ambience to give guests a glance inside traditional Pacific Rim dining, while maintaining a contemporary Cool Springs vibe. The relaxing outdoor patio overlooking an infinite pool is not only one of the most popular places to dine in Nashville, but is also home to live bands throughout the spring, summer, and fall seasons. An open kitchen and sushi bar allows guests a firsthand look at the delicacy behind preparing each dish. Floor-to-ceiling windows next to a peaceful pool along with areas for private dining round out the unique dining experience at Wild Ginger.

Who are the owners?

When Cornell hospitality graduate Andrew Siao met restaurateur John Chen, it was a business partnership destined for success. John, the former owner of Grand China in Bellevue, in search of a qualified and compatible business partner, met Andrew at church. The two put their different talents together to form what is now the most talked about dining experience in Cool Springs. Andrew handles the business aspect of the restaurant, and John, with the help of his family, handles the day-to-day operations of the restaurant.

John’s son and graphic design graduate, Steven Chen, was crucial in creating the look and brand of Wild Ginger, and takes the lead in creating an original and attractive presentation for every entrée and sushi dish. Ten-year veteran Malaysian chef (and John’s son-in-law), Ken Teoh, leads the kitchen team in creating some of the most innovative menu items known to the southeastern United States. Always blending unique ingredients and exploring new recipe ideas, Ken has originated many of Wild Ginger’s customer favorites, such as the Crazy Cow sushi roll-a tempura shrimp roll topped with filet mignon.

What makes us different?

Guests of Wild Ginger receive more than just phenomenal cuisine-they receive a total dining experience. From the valet service to the vibrant presentation of each dish, no detail is left unnoticed. As soon as each guest walks into the door, Wild Ginger’s highly-praised staff pays careful attention to each his/her every need.

When it comes to innovation and presentation, Wild Ginger is second to none. In the three short years of operation, Wild Ginger has received multiple awards and honors from various publications and organizations-both industry-selected and fan-voted, including recognition for “Best Sushi”, “Best Fusion Restaurant”, “Best New Restaurant”, and the coveted “Best Presentation” and “People’s Choice” awards from the Taste of Williamson.

Mixing the distinctive ambiance of the restaurant with each server’s impeccable attention to detail and the innovative and diverse selection of menu items, there is nothing like the total dining experience at Wild Ginger in Middle Tennessee.
